Day 1. Tarangire National Park

Arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport / Arusha Airport (Morning Arrivals)

Karibu Tanzania Welcome to Tanzania! Upon arrival, you will be warmly welcomed by your professional naturalist guide, who will provide a brief orientation and overview of your exciting safari adventure ahead.

You will then depart for Tarangire National Park for an afternoon game drive, with a packed lunch provided en route. As Tanzania’s sixth-largest national park, covering approximately 2,600 square kilometers, Tarangire is famous for its vast elephant herds and unique seasonal wildlife migration. During the dry season, nearly 250,000 animals move into the park in search of water from the Tarangire River.

After an extensive game drive, you will continue to your lodge in time to enjoy sundowners, taking in breathtaking views of the Tarangire River and surrounding acacia woodlands while reflecting on the day’s wildlife encounters.

After breakfast, you will journey through the lush highlands, passing local villages where the Iraqw people cultivate corn, coffee, and wheat. Continuing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will enjoy breathtaking views of the iconic Ngorongoro Crater before proceeding onward to Serengeti National Park, arriving around midday.

A UNESCO World Heritage Site, Serengeti National Park spans nearly 15,000 square kilometers and supports an extraordinary abundance of wildlife, including over 2 million grazing animals, more than 4,000 lions, 1,000 leopards, 550 cheetahs, and approximately 500 bird species. Enjoy an afternoon game drive across the endless plains, scattered with acacia trees and rocky kopjes where lions reign over their territory. You may witness the Great Migration in action or spot an elusive leopard resting in the riverine forests.

For a truly unforgettable experience, you may opt for a hot air balloon safari at sunrise, offering a spectacular bird’s-eye view of the Serengeti plains. As night falls, listen to the distant roar of lions echoing across the savannah—a natural soundtrack to your stay.

In the evening, return to camp for sundowners, taking in sweeping views of the Serengeti while sharing stories of the day’s remarkable wildlife encounters.

After breakfast, depart for a full-day game drive across the vast open grasslands of the Serengeti, carrying a picnic lunch to enjoy in the heart of the wilderness. Spend the day exploring this iconic ecosystem, home to an incredible diversity of wildlife roaming freely across the endless plains.

Following an extensive and rewarding game drive, return to your camp in the late afternoon. Unwind with sundowners while soaking in panoramic views of the Serengeti plains and sharing memorable moments from the day’s wildlife encounters.

After an early breakfast at the camp, you will depart for Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive, carrying a picnic lunch to enjoy within the crater. Enclosed by towering walls rising over 2,000 feet, the crater forms a natural sanctuary where wildlife remains year-round. This unique ecosystem offers exceptional game viewing, with chances to spot lions, elephants, zebras, hippos, flamingos, jackals, antelopes, endangered black rhinos, and a wide variety of bird species.

The Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is a vast highland region located along the eastern arm of the Great Rift Valley, with the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater as its centerpiece and a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

In the late afternoon, you will ascend from the crater and drive back to Arusha, marking the conclusion of your unforgettable safari adventure.
